Your data

Delete your OneRoof account

You can delete your account and your personal data at any time. Deleting an account cannot be undone.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open OneRoof and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account permanently.
  3. Read the warning, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm again.

If you are the only officer of your association, or you created a community that is still being set up, hand it over to someone else first. The app tells you which community is in the way.

Cannot open the app? Ask us to do it

Email business@ouroneroof.com with the subject "Delete my account", and include the phone number registered on your account. We will contact you on that number to confirm the request is yours, then delete the account and confirm to you when it is done. We aim to finish within 30 days.

Delete only some of your data

You do not have to close your account to have part of your data removed. You can change your name, and change or remove your profile photo, yourself in your profile. For anything else, such as a particular post, a guest or family member entry, or a proof of payment, email business@ouroneroof.com with the subject "Delete some of my data". Say what you want removed and include the phone number registered on your account, and we will confirm it is you and act on it, with your society where needed. We aim to finish within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your name, which becomes "Deleted user", and your phone number, which is replaced with a placeholder.
  • Your profile photo.
  • Your sign-in sessions and login codes. You are signed out straight away.
  • Your notifications, notification settings and the push notification token of your device.
  • Your roles, your membership of the community and your place in a home (ownership, tenancy or household).
  • Invitations sent to your number, and any requests you made that were still pending.

After deletion you can register again later with the same number, as a new user with no history.

What is kept, and why

  • Things you posted in your community, such as notices, discussions, comments, complaints, association chat messages, gallery items and visitor entries. They stay so the community's records stay complete, and they show your name as "Deleted user". Anything you wrote in them yourself, such as your own name or number in the text, stays as written.
  • A security audit trail of actions taken in the app, which is append-only by design.
  • Records about guests you registered. Guests are other people, and those entries belong to the community's visitor log.
  • Encrypted backups, until they age out of our backup schedule.
